Biodiversity Commitment
Tingyi (Cayman Islands) Holding Corp. (hereinafter referred to as “Master Kong”, “the Company” or “We”) adheres to the concept of sustainable development and actively implements the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity and other initiatives, committing that the Company's own operations and the production operations of our suppliers and partners do not involve businesses that damage ecology or jeopardize biodiversity, and that we will actively conserve biodiversity and build a global home where human beings and nature can coexist in harmony. We commit to:
- Prevent impacts on biodiversity: Strictly comply with relevant Chinese national policy guidelines and compliance requirements, including the Ecological Protection Redline (EPR), strengthen the awareness of the EPR concept, improve biodiversity risk assessment and prevention mechanisms, and enhance the identification of biodiversity-related risks. Properly assess potential environmental pollution and impacts on biodiversity arising from production and operational activities. Conduct rigorous justification for the location and layout of the plant, protect wetlands, forests, lakes, wildlife habitats and agricultural land, avoid conducting business activities in the vicinity of areas rich in global or national biodiversity, and minimize the impacts on the aboriginal inhabitants of ecologically sensitive areas, local communities and other stakeholders in ecologically sensitive areas.
- Minimizing Biodiversity Impact: Take action to minimize negative impacts on natural organisms and their habitats, and work with value chain partners to rebuild ecosystem structure and function through the promotion of sustainable agricultural and forestry practices, the implementation of measures such as afforestation, wetland restoration and pasture improvement. Strengthen biodiversity conservation education and public awareness, promote the biodiversity-friendly industries, and strive to achieve a net positive impact.
- Restoring Biodiversity: Integrate restoration and reconstruction of disturbed land, focusing on the comprehensive restoration of the entire soil environment based on soil restoration. We will be committed to practicing and promoting sustainable agricultural production by reducing water consumption, avoiding environmental pollution, protecting soil health, preventing the destabilization of ecosystems, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, thereby enhancing ecosystem biodiversity. Strengthen interaction with social organizations and the media to raise awareness of biodiversity conservation among the Company, suppliers, partners and the public, and mitigate negative impacts on biodiversity. Conduct biodiversity-themed education and training for employees and stakeholders to enhance biodiversity conservation awareness and professionalism.
- Biodiversity Compensation: Master Kong will rehabilitate and restore ecosystems damaged by the Company’s business activities based on actual circumstances, to provide suitable habitats. Support protection programs for endangered species, including breeding initiatives, habitat conservation, and research, while also enhancing the overall functionality of ecosystems through measures such as afforestation and wetland restoration.
This Commitment is supervised by the Master Kong Sustainable Development Committee, with performance and progress towards key impacts and goals reported to the Board for review.
