We are committed to zero net deforestation throughout our entire supply chain, mitigating the risks of deforestation arising from our own operations, and overseeing the management of timber, palm oil, and soybean meal commodities that involve forest clearing risks within our industry chain, thereby contributing to forest conservation efforts. This zero net deforestation commitment is approved and ultimately accountable by our Board of Directors. We promise:
- During the management of the company's own operations, suppliers, and partners, we
- Require the company, suppliers, and partners to comply with applicable forest protection laws and regulations in the countries and regions where they conduct business, prohibiting the procurement of products sourced from the destruction of high-carbon storage forests, high conservation value forests, as well as wetlands (including peatlands), and tropical rainforests, among other ecosystems.
- Map out the raw material supply chain, gradually trace and identify raw material suppliers at each stage, and assess whether they pose a deforestation risk.
- Develop relevant management and control procedures to manage and supervise raw material suppliers and partners with deforestation risks, and set up a high risk supplier withdrawal mechanism
- Encourage suppliers to obtain internationally recognized third-party certifications such as FSC/PEFC/CFCC Sustainable Forest Management certification, RSPO Sustainable Palm Oil certification, and RTRS Responsible Soybean certification.
- Explore and advocate for the substitution of raw materials with deforestation risks.
- Conduct relevant training for company employees, suppliers, and partners to help them gradually comply with this "Commitment" and related management regulations.
